8 more days to enlistment date. hmm. Seems that i have been trying to make full use of my last few days out of camp to enjoy myself and meet up with people. Especially so for this coming week. As if i'm going to be away for a long time. hahaa. its not like i have never left home for 5 mths before. People ask if i'm excited, scared, etc. Oh well, i've been anticipating the date since june? no more emotions left to be felt already. hah. But i guess the reality would really soon hit me, the thought of not being able to see close ones whenever i wish to. 2 years is a long time man. Kenneth blogged at 6:49 PM. so i'm finally back from perth. 12 days is a little bit too long a stay in australia. oh well. as i've told cynthia less that an hour ago, i would never live or study in australia if i had the choice. i guess i just don't appreciate the culture, the nature and the people. hmm. at least there ARE some parts of the trip that i did enjoy. like certain conversations at the start of the trip and some of the amazing scenery that we've seen. nicholas would be putting up some of the photos on facebook i suppose. bangkok was much more memorable in that sense. its everything i expected and more. the life the culture, the sheer joy of being in a country with a thousand smiles. i wouldn't mind living in bangkok. hahahaha. The day kenneth kicked up a fuss at a retaurant. certainly a day to remember. oh well, i didn't really want to do it as i knew how hard it was to work in f & b. but seriously, would you pay for sides that 1. didn't come with your main, 2. was overcooked and too salty and 3. was not served at all in the end? oh well. i kept insisting that i wouldn't pay for the sides but i was willing to pay for the steak i ate. oh well, this restaurant's POS system dosen't allow them to remove the sides from the maincourse so in the end, the entire dish was taken off the bill. oh well. maybe ivan's right, they might have blacklisted me. ahaha Kenneth blogged at 11:46 PM. It feels great to talk to someone about things you're going through. Even if you don't really need advice. It helps you think better when you actually vocalize your thoughts. Much easier to make sense of everything. Of course, good listeners listen with intent and more importantly ask the right questions rather than saying the right things. I'm glad that i have friends like that. I hope that i can be a good listener to them as well.. I just hope that maybe next time these sessions can be cheaper! haha Kenneth blogged at 11:30 AM. a much needed blog overhaul. Kenneth blogged at 12:29 PM. its been too long. haha Ended two major relationships which i'm glad i did. the second one was kinda harder. Well, i'd rather put a stopper to it rather than making things even harder to clear up after more time has passed. I'm glad i did. I really am. I'm realising more and more of what i want in this aspect of my life. Its a continuous journey isn't it? I hope that the involved parties can learn from this and move on. That's not too much to ask for right? Symphonia's DnD's this coming evening. Seems that the one week sydney trip with these bunch of people has made me somewhat closet to these fun-loving-cam-whoring people. haha. but these folks know when to be focused and stuff. I'm writing this post as i'm waiting for my phone to be uodated with the new software update for the iphone. As usual, updates take a pretty long time. So what have i been doing? catching up with some friends, went back to TP for the band's ensemble night, work (seldom as there are limited slots). SMU band practice sas we are going to sydney next month (still tentative depending on the H1N1 virus situation). Well, at least i don't have to pay for it. Lucky me. Itunes was prompting me that the activation server that was required for the update was temporarily down. That's quite a turn-off for a long awaited update. Well, perseverence (and Google) pays off and forums recommended some measures which i tried several times and what do you know? success! haha. Google is God-sent. Kenneth blogged at 3:44 AM. |
