Work at 9.30 am. Lunch for an hour. Back to Work. Either rush for ushering or band practice or even working at the shop again. Leave at 10.30 or 11.30pm. That's has been my routine for the past two weeks or so. AND I AM VERY TIRED. Even 'sleeping in' today for a mere 8 hours was a luxury to me. The mosaic music festival has kept me and a few of my colleagues at esplanade most of the time, settling commission with artistes, running to and fro from the shop to other performing venues, checking on how our other newer colleagues are coping with the sales of merchandise and CDs, performing usual stuff like replenishing stock in the shop (which could take up quite a considerable time). Wow. It has been quite a festival hasn't it. With us doing taxi claims as we were leaving esplanade most of the time after 1am. Sometimes i even had to work frm 9.30am to 1am consecutively for three days. The work dosen't end there after the festival. Reports have to be submitted regarding the sales, invoices that have been overdue due to the absence of our manager have to be settled. Blah Blah Blah. It's almost like i'm a full-timer now. Well, on a lighter note, i get to learn quite a bit abt the retail trade. About stuff you cannot learn frm textbooks. And of course, contribute more to the company than just sitting at the counter and serving customers. Quite an experience i must say. Well the outlook for the next few months or so... National Band Competition with TP Symphonic Band Festival (Tertiary Bands) St. Pats Concert Oh yeah, by the end of this month, Esplanade will be the employer i stayed the longest with. :) No plans on quitting soon anyway. Till then. Kenneth blogged at 2:38 PM. Friday, March 07, 2008
Started work today at 9.30am Had to change to thee mosiac tee and wear the lanyard. It was pretty fun 'running' all around esplanade to get things done to prepare for the first day of the music festival in which merchandise carts will set up at different areas around the centre. Well, that's about it. Looking forward to working tomorrow. Kenneth blogged at 9:28 PM. Sunday, March 02, 2008
Faith is what you turn to in times of helpless need. Quite a bit had happened today. But still, Life goes on. We all learn from our mistakes don't we. A costly one for me at that. Kenneth blogged at 12:17 AM. |
