Back frm the one day break of sunday yesterday.

Today as usual, school was boring and dreaded. The only thing different today was that i had to rush thru my history assignment and that my class found out that my form teacher aka the e maths teacher was on mc for a month and that we had a relief teacher whose name was Miss Chia. As usual, the class of 4E2 never made it easy for any new/ relief teacher so i supposed she had a hard time today.

After school was an SYF rehearsal in the school hall. Mr Glosz took the band. Remarking quite a bit abt the recordings that we had frm the conference hall. So we are improving on our mistakes and on our way to musical excellence.

I know that this entry is kinda short. I'll try to make up when more interesting things happen. Haha. Goodbye!

Okok.. the royal family want me to blog so i have come to blog.

Today started at 8am with sectionals. As usual, the clarinet section split up to make full use of the short two hours that we had. I was practicing with the 1sts who are namely ivan and benjamin. Firsts jiu shi first, very fast we went thru both pieces cos even got problem also very fast solve. Had to shift abt 3 times lah, becos of mr heng say not good place to prac, the sun, the noise ard us and the cars den were going in and out. So when we finish we were sitting near the rest of the section polishing instrument lah and listening to them.

At 10am was the breakfast and lunch break, it was so early becos the bus was coming at 12+. We decided to have a sec 4 section lunch but jeremy didn't wanna go so we left for where? KFC (again) without him. We dragged him out at first but he crawled back into the band room. So we eat chicken again and nicholas my section leaders was cracking lame jokes as usual. Kinda entertaining sometimes. Den we eat eat eat, den some of my other batchmates came along. They wanted to eat ice-cream so we pei them lor. Next to MPH the ice-cream stall. Suddenly, while they were ordering, a huge tomato and a banana appeared lah, some kinda advertisment for healthy eating.. How interesting, i'll try to get the pics frm nicholas soh.. So we went back to sch to get ready for SCH.

When our bus reach den my band ppl line up liao, mr brando tan told us that we were late so we walk fast fast upstairs to get seated in the hall. By then, most of the schools were already there and temasek was on stage already. So colouful cos they all wearing their hse tees den all diff colours. So we sat down and waited for catholic high. When they came den mr glosz started.

Merry widow by temasek is improving each time we hear them, now they are injecting feeling as well, got goosebumps. Den we waited and waited for our turn.

Of all times, my very good high performance syf reed had to chip today. So i had to use a new one which explains the squeeking. and i do not sound very nice. Ppl say until like i some heavenly Eb clarinet player like that.. Got a long way to go to becoming a good Eb player.

After our turn den have to wait again.. Hear singapore rhapsody and 7th night so many times can sleep liao. But 7th night naturally sas play the best lah. After that go back to school. one of the bandroom keys broke but luckily got shutters.

Was going with ivan they all go roxy eat ban mian but den josiah called ivan to tell me that my son was expecting me at bedok macs. So i go there lor.

The bus ride was so long lah, i was wondering whether or not i could make it before they leave. They also can't contact me to ask me if i'm going.

When i reached bedok interchange, like when i just alighted i saw them walking out of macs.. So zun. 1 min later den i would have gone to bedok for nothing. Oh yah, them is corne, meilan and gary. So they eat liao den wanted to pei wo dao KFC qu chi. But i never eat lah cos kinda sian of KFC for the day already.. So we talked abt stuff that shouldn't be mentioned here.. Haha. Nice chatting with them even if its for a short while. Den Gary happily sitting down there listening to us and maybe making very clever inferences.. haha.. like.... right?

Tomorrow i shall dedicate the day to hw which i haven't done in a long time.

Ta x2 bye x2

I was kinda looking forward to going out with the "royal family" as said on meilan's blog. Haha, waited patiently till 1.30pm den went to tanah merah mrt to meet them. As i was going up the escaltor there, saw corne's head bobbing up and down. Haha, guessed that he and meilan were there. I was right! haha, only the two of them would talk until so enthu one. So we waited at the steps for the others. Corne was having the green look cos meilan had a new phone and his phone wasn't the best anymore. Talk talk talk. Soon, yc and kris came in a cab and they joined in. Waited for xinling cos she had tuition. I'm finally not the last.. HAHA. So when she came, we headed towards bugis.

As her royal highness was hungry, we decided to go eat at swensens first. There was a queue outside so we all waited and lined up like typical singaporeans, xinling came up with the idea of going to buy corne's belated b'dae present. So she and i went to walk and shop. We came across did stuffed toy store lah but decided to walk somemore to see if we could find anything else. Went to converse lah, addidas lah but couldn't find anything appropriate. (see how much effort we put into buying corne's present!) Joking lah. Anyway, we went back to the stuff toys stall cos we were running out of time. We came across this cushion/pillow thingy that we didn't see earlier. So we decided to buy lah but got a few designs and we couldn't make up our minds. Called corne and asked him to pick a letter;

M: Monkey
S: Sheep
G: Giraffe
D: Dog
F: Frog

He picked S so we bought the sheep. We asked the shop assistant whether they had a wrapping service. Have lah so we had to pick a wrapper. All like for girls so we ended up picking the blue transparent one with hearts. Haha. Sorry ah corne! Yup.. den we also bought this metal key chain thing of a boy and a girl holding hands (quite hard to seperate) for kris and yc dunno how many months anniversary. Didn't want to buy the same thing for meilan and ________. So we decided to give kris and yc later after we buy for them. Xinling and i went back to swensens as corne say they got table liao. Glad corne liked the present. YEAH!

We ordered our food lah, took kinda long that i finished 3 glasses of water. Den had ice-cream.. Go read corne blog lah... Xinling had stomachache for a while and she suspected that it was the milk in her chicken baked rice. Good thing that she felt better after the ice-cream or i would have accompanied her back home. Den we went to take neoprint upstairs. Thanks again to corne for the treat! Wanted to watch movie but dun have the ones that we wanna watch so we headed for parkway.

Parkway is so patrcian territory so like kinda sian lah. But now is with the royal family so different story. We went to E-Zone which has so little games. Anyway, we tried to play the stuff toy game lah, but seems like its out to cheat ppl money. So we played the air hockey game. Me and xinling against meilan and corne, felt kinda guitly cos yc and kris never play with us. WE beat our childern 10-6 haha. Dad and mum will always win. Haha, go train harder! Just joking.. Den meilan's slipper broke lah so we went Giant to buy tape. They ended up going to the children's section while fixing her slipper. First the guys tried lah but den broke again. After xinling worked her magic, ok liao. Den as we were walking out;

Meilan: these toys look like they will talk to people at night..
Corne: Haha, My name's barbie, what's your's?
Kenneth: Can i be your new friend?
Everyone: HAHAHAhahahaha

Meilan had to go off but we suggested going bedok to eat den she said that den she can eat with us. So we took 197 there. The bus ah, like some silencer like that, when we go in ah, hardly any conversations. I guessed it was the lights lah, too dim, make everyone sleepy. When we reached the interchange, meilan recieved a call and had to go home. Didn't have a chance to say bye... So the rest of us headed towards KFC lah.. Corne was walking in front at first but he didn't know the way so xinling and i walk first.. Did i mention; bedok also patrician territory. haha.. So we finally reached KFC and were looking high and low for seats. When we finally got to seat, we had to clean up the table ourselves. But we clear not clean one lah (what to do? we're not professional cleaners) So there was this big crumb left on the table...

Kris: Let's watch it decompose...
Kenneth: Where got so fast decompose one..
Corne: Call someone clean lah.
Kenneth: U call lah!
Corne: u call lah..
Kenneth: Woman!

No one came lah until kris started waving at the cleaner guy. So we ordered our food and ate (duh! order food to look at ah?) Talk Talk Talk.

Corne: Meilan not here no one to disturb..
Kris: disturb him lah (pointing towards Kenneth)
Corne: wait kena whack again..

So when we decided to go home, kris and yc went towards the interchange while the 3 of us went to the mrt. I decided to walk the other 2 home cos i had the time. Corne was entertaining us with his high pitch noise. Ooops i meant music.. Haha.

Hope there would be more of this kinda outings.. Did i mention, all the cam fone ppl were snapping pics all throughout the day..

Till next time!

hello people.. this is kenneth blogging to u live from meroy's laptop! beside me now is mr nicholas soh who is here for the program.

Kenneth: Now tell me nicholas, how are u feeling today?

Nicholas: ...Dots ....

Kenneth: Right.. Some people dun speak english.. nvm.. That's all for the interview.

Anyway.. today st pats had its annual sports day at the bedok stadium.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Unlike the previous 3 years of sports days that i have been to, this one this year was much cooler and slackier than before. Many of the competitors had to run a few races due to un-cooperative ppl like myself and nicholas (still beside me) who opted out of the race becos someone decided to sabo him by putting his name down for some racial harmony race thing. haha.. it was hilarious seeing how he was trying to hide himself frm the teachers. Hahahaha. He claims that he had a stomachache.. yah right... Yup, it was not enjoyable at all as we had to stay in the same spot for 4 hours. It was not too bad considering i borrowed justin's phone to sms abt 80 + mssges. THANKS!! Doing nothing except to watch people run and disgrace their houses. Haha, i feel so evil. MUAHAHAHAHAHA. There were people who couldn't take the boredom and slept in the grandstand. Right ivan? haha. It ended like 1 hr late and we went to the nearby KFC for lunch. The chicken there was horrible..

We were planning to catch Swing Girls at orchard cineleisure but ourr plans were stalled because we had to go back for our junior's band practice. Yup, Right now, i'm blogging while they are having full band. How good can their seniors here get.. haha. Anyway, meroy wants to go watch Miss Congeniality 2 after the practice. maybe he'll treat us again.. RIGHT MEROY? just kidding..

I guess that's all for now live from "meroy's laptop" in st. patrick's sch. See you soon!

Since its already 1am, i shall talk abt my day yesterday which just ended and hr ago.

Today my band had a rehearsal together with temasek at the conference hall.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, this is the third time that my band had rehearsed at the conference hall. Our playing seems to get better and better as each rehearsal progressed on. Keep up the good work guys! With temasek watching us instead of sas, that was certainly less pressure than on monday.

Temasek started off the rehearsal with their rendition of Singapore Rhapsody. Their interpretation or rather the one that mr glosz interpreted seemed somewhat similar to the way we played it which is ver different from the one played by sas. Well i don't really have much to say but xinling can push more at the Grandioso part and the articulation of the clarinets could be more sensitive. Not bad since we last heard them. Then it was st pats turn.

The orginal plan was to let temasek play the set piece followed by us and den them again with their choice piece proceeding with ours. But mr glosz said that he was quite satisfied with our set piece and we moved on to hanover as the allocated time for our band was not over. Everything in the techinical side sounded much better than the previous practice on Monday. I'm glad that my members took into consideration what mr glosz had said in the last practices and had worked on it. It feels that we are getting nearer and nearer to our ultimate goal.

Thanks to meilan for lending your ligature so graciously. We would be in deep trouble if u didn't oblige. Thanks!

Anyway, i would be more than happy to have any feedback abt our playing frm the audience seats. Till next time!

Tuesday, March 22, 2005

Hello people, once again, people are asking me to blog again so fine. Here's it!

Yesterday our band had a practice at the Singapore Conference Hall with St. Andrew's. Before the practice, many of the leaders including me were predicting lots of tension in the hall later that day as sps and sas were never really on good terms. When we reached there, we heard frm mr glosz that sas was going to rehearse first. Well, depends on ur point of view, it can be a good thing or a bad one. For me the only reason that it was bad is because when u wait in the conference hall for quite some time, ur instrument gets really cold and would affect ur tone. For me, i felt that my tone was very thin compared to previous practices. Even my constant blowing of hot air through the instrument was in vain.

Overall sas was good lah, undeniably. I guess both bands are now on par and at the same standard consdering that we are playing pieces that are planets apart. I liked the brass chords of 7th night. very warm feeling. Anyway, there's staill quite some polishing up for both bands to do. Heard the recording today it didn't really sound like how it sounded on stage.

Today was rather enjoyable in sch. Why? Imagine seven periods of slacking periods in a single day. Yup, u've got it. Seven periods consecutively, teachers were either on course or didn't come to sch. So we were talking, sleeping, making each other feel pain. Haha. We were learning frm those classmates that knew some japanese defensive martial arts thing the pressure points in which u have to apply minimal effort to make someone feel unbearable pain. Haha. Interesting. We also took some lame pictures lah cos everyone was like using hp.

Tomorrow both my band and temasek would be having a practice together at the conference hall again. 7-11pm. Plans after that still not confirmed... I guess i'll settle it tomorrow. That's all for today! Hope to see u next time. My speakers are finally working again!

This week without anyone to confide in has been really heavy for me. I wish i had the time to have a long long chat with someone who really understands me. Ever had that feeling of emptiness? when you long to share ur experiences of the week, the ups and downs. Well, i hope it would turn out for the better within the next few days.

Its has been a tiring week both mentally and physically due to syf. I'm really putting a lot of effort on my part to make a success in achieving our goals.

In God I Trust. Things will get better.

Hello once again, i'm back frm band camp on wed and had no inspiration to blog till now so here's it u loyal fans.. haha. But i wanna start this entry with a song that has been on my head for the past few days... enjoy (i know its kinda long) dedicated to of course xinling and the family (corne, kris and meilan) haha

All I ASK OF YOU (Sarah Brightman & Cliff Richards)
From Phantom of The Opera

No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I'm here
Nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you
Let me be your freedom
Let daylight dry your tears
I'm here
With you, beside you
To guard you and to guide you

Say you love me every weakening moment
Turn my head with talk to summertime
Say you need me with you now and always
Promise me that all you say is true
That's all I ask of you

Let me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You're safe
No one will find you
Your fears are far behind you

All I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you
Always beside me
To hold me and to hide me

Then say you'll share with me one love,
One lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
Say you want me
And you need me
Beside you
Anywhere you go, let me go too
That's all I ask of you

Say you'll share with me one love
One lifetime
Say the word and I will follow you
Share each day with me,
Each night, each morning
Say you love me
You know I do
Love me, that's all I ask you
Love me, that's all I ask of you

ok.. band camp. I warn you, THIS IS A LONG ENTRY. ALL EASILY BORED PEOPLE, CLOSE THIS WINDOW NOW!

Well i guess i will talk abt the nights first.

Night 1:

12am, Watching japanese band competitions on the band room com, had to switch to very soft mode cos the sec 4s were sleeping in the bandroom. Before that they were out at the nearby 24hr BAK CHOR MEE store cos they feel very thrilled to go out together during band camp.. haha, i stayed cos i didn't feel like eating.
2am, most of the sec 4s were already sleeping, the sec 3s and sec 2s were already into dreamland. continued watching jap band comp and ocasionally listening to some recordings (fantasy variations was one). Yunus and jeremy yeap were listening too. I noticed that many of the clarinetists in the video were using different embosures, but i had heard frm someone before that japanese bands dun really care abt that as long as they have a desired tone. Interesting, heard some rather good Eb sounds.
3am, was kinda stiff and bored after sitting at the same spot for like so many hours. Jeremy suggested a walk ard the sch, so myself, jeremy and yunus walked thru the once spooky brother's quarters and to the front gate, we then decided to make a right turn down st. patrick's road. talk talk talk. We reached the main road and decided to sit at the bus stop for a while. As we sat that, we observed a cat crossing the same road abt 5 times. haha, how entertaining. Den abt half and hr passed so we walked back to sch. When we were crossing the road, a kind taxi driver stopped in front of us and asked if we needed a lift to anywhere. haha. so nice of him, anyway we said no and thanked him. i think he must have thought that we wanted to go home and there was no bus. So we went back to sch and i decided to go to sleep. Yunus carried on watching the videos. The bandroom was super cold and there was snoring all ard the room. Surround sound sia. Anyway, i had no problem entering into a great slumber.

Kinda suffered the effects of an almost sleepless night.

2nd night:
Had pasta made by mr glosz. Nice, but could be better as it was cooked in the morning. to think of it, mr glosz really makes good food, he can be a chef if he wants a change in profession. Anyway, after we had supper, the sec 3s and 2s again went to sleep very quickly. This time, i was at the computer again watching the andrew loyld webber musical selections. some kinda concert featuring his works. He looks wierd.. haha. The songs from phantom of the opera were so nice. The singer was kinda wierd, no need for details, some a little obscene. The guy's voice was very nice, with lots of emotions. Wish i could sing like that. haha. Anyway, i soon advanced towards my thick sleeping bag and went into deep sleep altough i was woken a few times by the temperature.

Band camp had given the section leaders a lot of time to work on the details in the syf pieces. The band can be more consistent in its playing. Keep up the work guys!

It seems like its a Eb clarinetist thing, both xinling and myself have been asked my mr glosz to transpose parts into ours. For xinling its the Waltzer in Merry Widow and for me its a whole lot of running notes. Picture this, going up and down a set of running notes that have 5 sharps. Do this and you'll understand what i'm going thru. Haha, i hope this makes xinling feel a little better that she has an easier job. Yup, u can do it! Haven't been talking to xinling often since my phone was lost. Hope i can have a long chat with her soon..

That's all, congrats on ure reaching to this line! u had just survived the longest blog entry that i had ever written.

Due to the popular demand (yah right!), i've decided no type this entry one more time because my computer hibernated before i could publish the entry.. SO here it is again.

Let me talk abt the fully-packed yesterday. From morning 8am till at night 10.30pm, i was out the whole day. Morning, there was the meet-the-parents session for sec 4s. The principal Mr. Lak had set a regulation that the result slip would not be given to the student's hose parents were not there. BUT, my mum was like must come must come, so i got back my horrible result slip. It was not too much of a shock as we had already seen it when the teacher wanted us to check whether the results were correct and whether there were any mistakes. My mum after seeing the result slip was, ok.. work harder. Thank God! haha. I can't believe that my form teacher told my mother that Kenneth has been a very good and quiet boy in class.. Haha, YAH RIGHT!

After the thing was over and my mum decided not to talk to any of y subject teachers, we went to the nearby BAK CHOR MEE store down the road. We wanted to go eat the famous prawn noodles but it wasn't open compared to the 24-hr BAK CHOR MEE store. So we went there, 4th consecutive time i went there, to eat. After we had finished, my mum had to go back to work and i had to go back to school for band.

We did some individuals and split sectionals and den there was lunch break at 12. Since i had just eaten, i stayed in the bandroom together with christopher, louis and jonathan. We were watching this chinese video of some guy teaching abt horn playing. Looks like the chinese from china can play very well, some quite unexpected. Anyway, we then had full band with Mr Glosz in the hall till 5. It was a ok practice. Not too good, not too bad.

On our way there, we decided that we (jeremy, don and me) needed gel and deodorant after one whole day in sch, so we stopped at the 7-11 near siglap centre and don and i ran to buy the stuff; cos the cab couldn't legally stop there. But i guess we took too long and the cab was already gone.. Haha, we thought maybe jeremy left us, so we ran abit forward cos maybe the cab change place to stop. So we run run run den heard a horn frm behind, it U-turned while we were buying stuff. So we got onto the cab.

When we reached there, i called xinling telling her that we were there already and we needed the tickets. so we arranged to meet in the canteen. Den, i suddenly remembered that we bought gel, so like faster dash to the toilet gel hair den meet her.. haha. When we reached the canteen. Whoa. xinling looks different.. haha.. Interesting though. After waiting there for a while for the twins, we decided to go to the hall first becos they were still at kembangan. So we went up, showed them our tickets and went in (we were late btw due to band). They had closed all the doors and the hall was dark except for the spotlights and the stage lights. Cool, never seen anyone do this to a sch hall b4. went to sit with xinling but jeremy and don didn't follow us, so we went to look for them at the door. Apparently, they were lost and were in a cab. (I hate this kind of taxi drivers; dunno singapore well den wanna drive cab) So xinling gave some instructions lah. Since i had their ticket, we decided to wait near the door for them. So they came and we went to sit. Lots of twe clarinetists were there, and they had reserved seats for us. So nice of themm.. anyway, the first half of the concert was rather deafening and unbearable. The worst thing was they even expect us to vote. Haha, i'm so mean.

There was a 30 min interval so we went out to talk to ppl and all, without having to shout, like earlier in the hall where it was extremely difficult to hear anyone talking other than those screaming into the microphones. Then they had some problems in which was quickly solved. Yup, peace on Earth.

When the interval was over, we went back to the hall, this time sitting quite a distance frm the nearest speakers in case we go partially deaf. Well, there are quite a few good bands and singers. The Beatboxing Ryan guy was very entertaining. Not too bad, got some of my $10's worth. haha. So anyway, meilan msg corne say wanna go eat cos i think they were also feeling very sian and sick of the music. So we too decided to leave the concert as it was getting boring.

So we went out and my band ppl decided to go too, but we seperated because we were heading into different directions. So we took a bus to bedok interchange. On the bus, the clarinets frm twe were tou-pai-ing us with thier digi cam lah, hp lah. Haha, quite funny. So fun to hang out with them, oh yah, alvin came along too. Wanted to talk to him but couldn't find the opportunity to. Yup, maybe some other time. When we reached, bedok macs, THOSE PPL (haha) decided to seat away frm me and xinling, but corne and gary sat with us (thanks guys!). So we talk talk talk talk talk, haha, interesting topics. Corne came up with this theory that un-innocent ppl like me and him like chili and innocent ppl like xinling and gary dun eat chili. Turns out to be quite thru on the ppl we tested on. Not long after the rest left for meilan hse, we decided too that it was time to go. So we headed to the mrt and xinling was having blisters becos of her shoes. Ouch! poor thing. Anyway, as usual, i was walking too fast. So i slowed down lah, walk with xinling so maybe she will feel a little better. So we reached the mrt station and i had to go home alone cos the other three (xinling, corne, gary) were taking the mrt on the other side. Nvm, used to it anyway.

That's all for today, hope u've enjoyed reading. Bye

ok.. so here i am again, publishing one post before going to do homework..

As u all know frm my previous entry, my band went to the Singapore Conference Hall to try out our balances and to prepare to play at the same location during the SYF.

Comments abt the practice: Pratically everything that we heard frm stage sounded quite bad, balances were off, intonations was bad and all. The only nice sounds we could hear was when it was held and ended off nicely. But when Mr Glosz went to the audience seats to hear us, he remarked that we sounded very good. Surprised by his comments, i'm sure the band had been quite motivated instead of disappointed. Hope that this would uncover the parts which each individual section needs to solve.

Anyway, i must say that the Singapore Conference Hall is quite nice. Altough it does not date back as long as VCH, its very suitable for bands to play in. Quite a good concert hall. Here are some pictures of it.

Second time i'm typing due to my carelessness when i closed the window... haha.. nvm, its a joy to blog anyway. :) OK.. so here's it.

After school today, i went to the bandroom for a while to practice on my long forsaken Bb Clarinet. When i first played a note, i sounded horrible.. Well, i thought it was due to my lack of practice, but later found out that it was because of the old reed i was using when i switched reeds. Then later, my friend cum ex-senior came as he booked out frm his camp and we went for dinner togther with ivan, jeremy, nicholas, justin and the other jeremy (joachim's bro).

So we took a walk to one of our favourite places to eat ard the school which was the Bak Chor Mee stall. Yup, so we went there to eat. There was quite alot of catching up to do as we had not seen joachim for quite a long time. Time passes fast when u're hearing all the interesting and funny experieces hot frm the camp by someone in NS. While we were busy chatting, i took notice of the shop beside the stall we were at, were clearing out stuff, making quite some noise. Yup, but it didn't seem to disturb us.

Den later, we heard another noise, this time frm the other side which sounded like the ones we heard earlier, so not bothering abt it, we carried on. Soon it was time for the three (ivan, jeremy and nicholas) to go.. So they bid us farewell and left. Soon after, we also had to go home. Joachim and his brother took a cab home while me and justin went the other way.

So we were walking and den justin suddenly said "There's a car in the drain!". Being the usual blind me, i didn't notice it until we were abt 20 m away frm it. OMG. A red toyata was crashed into the drain by another silver car which was still on the road. Curious as we were, we had to take a closer look. Fortunately there were no blood stains on the road or in the wrecked car. Thank God.. Anyway, here's to give u a better pic of what happened.

Hello folks! Here comes the day of the week in which i would dread the most in terms of going to school. Why? Its because i usually sleep very late on sunday nights. Its really no fun waking up so early in the morning.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Today, instead of having two periods of theory lesson, our bio teacher cum band teacher in charge took us to the lab for one and a half periods to identify and draw the different parts of a sword bean seed that had been soaked in water fall days.

After school today was band practice in the hall as we needed to get used to filling up halls instead of the bandroom which has a large difference in size. Overall it was a ok practice, not too good, not too bad. I hope that we do not make the same mistakes again at the conference hall on thursday.

After that, ivan, jeremy and nicholas decided to go to the food court near my place for the cheap and good Yong Tau Foo. When we reached there we realised to our disappointment that it was closed, so we made our way the coffee shop a stone throw away. But most of the stalls were closed and we had to eat zhu zha tang (pig's organs soup). It was of a bad standard. Never gonna eat there again.

Den Jeremy and Ivan came up to my place to watch tv, use com, play uno and play jenga. Haha, like come my house so late to play.. Anyway they left ard 10.15.

Tomorrow we're going to Bandworld at IMM in jurong to buy stuff, i decided to go with them to see if i could get anything for corne.. So nice ah.. haha.. Bye!

The day started off with me waking up at ard 10+ because i was very exhausted frm the full day rehearsal yesterday. Justin didn't need my help in painting his room so can slack at home longer. No mood to go church.

Then in the afternoon, i decided to go early to cornelius' house. So i told and xinling and apparently she told cornelius who rushed back home. Sorry for that last minute notice, next time just tell me that you won't be home till later.. Don't need to take the trouble to take a cab and all...

So we (xinling, corne, meilan, gary) went to corne's house because ivan would be late.. It was raining slightly. For the first half an hour, we were looking thru each other's year book. Den haikal came. So i decided to warm-up first.. Den haikal joined me while gary meilan and corne went downstairs to play to the corne's dog.. haha.. They came up when ivan came.

xinling was very reluctant to play.. dunno why also. Are we THAT pressurizing? But she played in the end and found out all she needed to do was to be more confident of her playing and play out. Den we when downstairs where we played thru S'pore Rhap and Merry Widow. I was freaking out of tune with xinling becos we were both playing Ebs (now u noe why bands dun have two Eb clarinets). Den haikal ivan and i played some parts of hanover as requested by them. Response of the reed was horrible lah so did not sound so good. They were stunned at the amt of running notes, but all u need is practice to get the part. Den ivan and haikal had to go.

Then the rest of us took some stuff to eat and went upstairs to watch the offstage video. watch watch watch den xinling and i had to go off to look for corne's present. Took an MRT to dhoby ghaut.

We looked high and low at music essentials, ps and suntec, but couldn't find the perfect gift for him. So i guess we'll have to do it another day. Rushed for the braddell heights concert while xinling went home alone.. So poor thing, sorry for that. I made it to the concert hall right on time. As soon as i entered, they closed the doors. Ivan and jeremy came at the 2nd piece. Some parts of the concert were utterly boring, those were the parts where i was reading the concert booklet. Not bad a concert.

After that, me ivan and jeremy went to funan kfc which we found out was closing, tough luck at 10.30pm. But luckily the BK near there was open so we ate there. While we were eating, i turned around and saw an indian man sleeping directly opposite us in which the other two didn't notice. He wsa lying on the seat as if it was his hse. I think the staff there didn't notice him too. Wierd guy. So after that we went home, reached home ard 11.30.

Hello everyone.. i'm back again after one day of not blogging. Today had practice frm 8 - 5pm so kinda tired after not having long saturday practices since the implementation of the 5-day week. Mr Glosz is right, the 5-day week can be used as an assesment to see whether members of a certain CCA are dedicated or not but it seems that given a chance to relax, patricians will always take advantage of the situation and dun care abt things.. So i guess compulsory practice is the only way around it.

After band me and justin went to this Bak Chor Mee store near the school for dinner, as we sat down waiting for our order, justin ask me if the couple behind us were actors. I turned ard and there sat Quan Yi Feng and some other actor which i can't recall his name. But what's surprising to me was that i didn't see anyone take notice of them, seems like we were the only ones that realised that they were there.. So we too, like the rest, pretending that they were just ordinary ppl. But i must say something, they eat faster than us.. haha

ok.. haven't blogged for the past two days. So here i am again!

School. Some lessons have been very boring due to uninteresting teachers. Ok. Got back two subjects so far. Chinese and English. Chinese failed, to the surprise of many people who know me rather well.. English there's nothing to brag abt because my english teacher is marking according to o' level standard which is different frm other classes where teachers mark either frm their experience or a higher standard to push thier students. anyways for those who are still persistent in knowing, its 24/30.
Home. Recently i've been playing counterstrike (cs) for many hours. When i first started playing after a long long time, i felt very wierd becos the players were all now left handed and there's nothing i can do abt it. The next thing is worse. Imagine all the action and violence.. all WITHOUT SOUND. yup, i think its terrible. But the good thing is that i've gotten used to it.

Those loyal readers out there would have realised that today is the day i have bio lab, and all my past entries on wednesdays, u would expect a photo or something to be published. Not this week, today, we didn't have bio lab. Instead, we went thru the common test corrections without seeing our paper. I guess i've got enough to pass.

After school today, my sec 4 section (except ivan) was schduled to come down to practice the piece that we were going to play for the yamaha contest. Haikal didn't come. So the rest of us ran through the piece. It sounded horrible the first few times but it got better.. But we ended within an hour. We need more practice... The other three (namely nicholas, josiah and jeremy) have so much tuition that it's hard for me to plan another practice... Anyway, for those who were wondering what piece we are going to play for the contest, its "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" arranged by Johan de Meij. Heard from xinling that she and xingwen are taking part too playing against all odds my mariah carey. Good luck to them.

Well.. to make up for the picture that i would usually post, here's something interesting that i came across today.

Enjoy!
