Now that i'm blogging, I'm quite done with Bell service!

The good part is that the 'when will my shift end' feeling is done with and the bad part is 'its so fun driving a buggy'. Haha. Talk about you don't know what you have got tills its gone. Unexpectedly, three weeks in bell service didn't feel like forever as i had previously expected it to be. Furthermore, i have greater knowledge of the resort buggy routes and would no longer make wrong turns even at night when light is scarce. My reversing and changing the direction that the buggy is facing has also become second nature. I used to recall when i had to really focus and cannot multi-task (ie. correspond on the walkie) when i'm driving. So in other words, I've become better only when i have left the department where we drive buggys.

Concierge is the department that i am working in now. As expected, the concierge of every hospitality hotel/resort would face unique challenges of meeting the needs of the guests. Right now, i have become familiarised with the routine daily tasks that need to be carried out. What i need to improve on is the knowledge of the activities that can be arranged for guests including their content and their prices. Thanks to people like Atiqah the chief concierge and also Jay the senior concierge. I must say that i've learnt a lot about being a concierge guest relations officer. Talk about crash-coursing an entire career in two weeks. One week has passed and one more to go.

Next up is reception and then housekeeping. jay suspects that they would need to rope me in from concierge during the festive season as they have one concierge vaccancy at the moment. Not too sure whether i would be capable enough by then to mend the concierge counter alone. Wish me luck!
