So it has been raining.

And raining.

AND raining..

and RAINING...

and STILL raining....

Not forgetting a occasional pouring.

Never in my life have i seen it rain so much in Singapore. Haha. Well, its not making my flu any better.. well, its a good experience. imagine if it snowed in singapore, it would be a snowstorm blizzard man.

So work at no signboard was pretty relaxing today. not that it was any less crowded (weekdays are more crowded than weekends). But its rather refreshing to go back to work after a long time (1 week or so).

Had band practice at smu with mr buchanan on sinfonia festiva. firstly the piece is overwhelming scripted. secondly, the Eb part is so freaking high. if that's not bad enough, it has to be played with the flutes and piccolo in tune. Well, the rehearsal went quite well but i guess he couldn't work on it in greater detail as the band wasn't too ready for it. Great rehearsal nevertheless.

Went out with nicholas, jeremy and jeremy on sunday after work. Well, that was the best i could get within an hour's notice. Watched eragon. pretty cool show. i look forward to the other two episodes of the trilogy. it was great fun to hang out with the guys again.

looking forward to the band dinner on the 23rd of december. i heard that the programme hasn't really been confirmed yet. well, ppl overseeing bands are always busy people.

Tests are over. I think i did moderately well for the three papers namely principles of management, macroeconomics and fundamentals of food and beverage. Went to the new ikea at tampines after the last paper. Boy is the place cool.

Well, that's all for now.

Hmm, i seem to have some time so i'll blog about yesterday.

Being a really good friend (haha), i decided to accompanying nicholas all the way to woodlands library to study and collect a whole lot of textbooks from his friend. It sure was a really long trip to the other end of Singapore.

So we studied as we waited. and waited. and waited. an hr and a half. den she finally appeared. the best part is... she didn't bring it. hmm.

So nicholas had to go for sectionals at smu before the band rehearsal. We had to brave the extremely bad weather to get to woodlands mrt from the library. Really heavy rain with winds.

So nicholas did have his sectionals (not before he had to satisfy his craving for tau huei) and i did my individuals on a couple of pieces. Then we went for dinner with meroy, ralph, vincent and the saxes. (managed to get ralph and vincent to play for SMU)

Mr Bill Buchanan, the guest conductor for the night ended up coming early. So we didn't have time to run thorugh the piece beforehand.

The first time we played it through for him, oh my, really sounded quite bad. Balances were really off, there were tuning issues and techinical flaws. As he worked thorugh it, it really sounded much better and he successfully got his interpretation of the piece across to the band. Too bad it was only danse diabolique that he was working on. i would have enjoyed it if he could take another piece.

As we were packing our instruments, Mr Buchanan, a former clarinetist came over to me and wanted to try the Eb. He said that it had been a really long time since he played it and never has he played such an high-end Eb clarinet. haha, he also remarked that he didn't have any Ebs in his bands as they would be diabolique. HAHAHA.

So then nicholas, ralph, vincent and i went back to kopitiam to grab a bite/drink. Glad to know that ralph and vincent would be interested in coming back for practices. Ralph and nicholas mrt-ed home while vincent and i took a bus.

Managed to catch up quite a bit with vincent not forgetting his metal-spoon tonguing theory which he insists that i posses. (in a positive way) haha. looking forward to the next band practice!

i blogging because i'm waiting for my turn to shower. i could have been in there first until someone msn-ed me.. haha

I felt today was quite fufilling. Started off with an interview at the Pan Pacific Brunch at the poolside. I had a feeling Vanessa, the assistant manager was trying to scare me during the interview. But of course, i thought i handled it quite well. haha. Well, looking forward to starting work next friday.

Called and messaged a few people asking the to go hang out. My spsmb band batch in particular. Seemed that the poly people were all in the midst of exams and all. So maybe next week lah.

Went to nicholas' new place in the end to help him out with unpacking. Wow. i tell u, the place is really cluttered if u attempt to put ur boxes and bags of stuff all over the place rather than unpacking them right when they are brought in. But we managed to load his clothes cabinet and his computer and books. Helped out with his sister's computer as well. She looks really different from what i last saw her. They have a rather interesting family. haha. house warming nicholas?

Cabbed down to changi airport for cya. Nicholas (SP CYA) was attached to one of the immigration counters to help singaporeans and PRs to use the new self-check immigration machines. This would cut the queues at immigration by a lot. Chatted quite a bit with nicole and rahul. Also, a year 3 CYA who was on internship and how she was conned into taking up the job for SIP. Never would i choose CAAS for my internship man. haha

Sent one of my colleagues off to china. kinda happy for her that at least she dosen't have to work with people that she dosen't like very much.

Well. that' all for today.

it's been half a month!! didn't feel that long.

so the o's are done and my 5N batch members are free. i feel really excited for them and what the future holds for them. i hope that they get into the courses of their choice.

went out with my mum today to parkway where we lunched on this really good chicken rice and the hawker centre. its has to be really good as i don't usually eat white chicken. Kinda bloated after 1 glass of soya bean milk and grass jelly.

Proceeded to singtel to sign up for a contract as my one with m1 is going to be terminated soon. after much considerationa and deliberation, i decided to get the sony erricsson w850i. Yep. waited quite long (ard an hr) for my turn to come as there were 16 ppl in queue (many of which guessed decided to go off). Went home.

The clock struck 5 and i headed for changi airport for cya duty. It was nice to see nicole after two weeks. The SP ppl were switching stations today so we got two guys at the arrivals at terminal 1. nicholas and rahul of which both are rather interesting people to talk to. found out that nicholas' surname was also cheong (as spotted by rahul). Oh yeah, nicholas was frm the marist band playing the oboe. rather coincidental. he was surprised with how much i knew abt his band. muahaha.

the time passed really quickly as i got to know the two guys better. of course, not forgetting to help passengers at the same time. great sense of satisfaction when we know that we are able to assist ppl and help them get what they want/require..

marketing case study is due next week and i'm starting to worry abt it. the answers to the case is mostly not found in the scenario and its not easy to refer to the textbook abt it either. hopefully i'm able to do moderately well for this.

arts app skit. haha, this one's really fun and i look forward to it other than the fact that we have to remember our lines. i think it will turn out well as the tutor said we shld be able to get an A. That's really one morale booster.

with that i bid farewell. bye!
