All things come to an end, some good some bad. Common tests are coming to an end! haha.. Tomorrow's paper marks the end of the long week of tests. Biology. I think i'm quite prepared.. for once.. haha

Today was the physics and a maths paper. Physics was fine, passable. But a maths is a different story. After school today was the release of 'o' level results. The school did quite well and our principal was quite pleased. Seems that many band members are getting rather good marks. Congragulations to those who did well and those who tried their best. This led me to think about myself, what i would be expecting when its my turn...

After the release was over, nicholas and i went to the media resource library to study for bio. So much for "media resource". The only computer i saw was the librarian's computer... Well.. It was quite ok except for some stupid student librarians who were walking up and down the place dragging their feet. I have this thing against people who drag their feet, if they wanna drag their feet den i suggest that they dun walk at all.

So after that, i went home to continue studying. I wish nicholas the best as he's feeling very paranoid at this present moment. haha.. God bless him.

Can't wait to get back all the papers to see how badly i've fared.. haha..

Tune it next time, same time same place, only at www.daysoftheguynextdoor.blogspot.com

Hello! Sorry for the sudden notice but... my com's working again! In fact, better than before.. After fixing the hardware for a period of two days, i had my hard disk capacity doubled and everything's running quickly again.

Yesterday the performance band had a performance at Marine Parade. To all sec 2s: you could have done better. I hope to see something that will amaze me the next time i go for one of ur performances. don't let me down.

To all musicians out there:

To end this with a good note, a word of advice to all out there. Cherish the things that you have now, u'll never know how much it means to u till its gone. Appreciate ur friends and loved ones. It dosen't hurt to say "i love u".

Today makes it the 2nd day that i survived through common test week! haha.. everything went quite smoothly today. Maths was the first paper. I was busy focusing on completing the questions that i completely forgot to take notice of the time. When i was at the last sum, 5 mins left. Oh oh.. I started to panic a little because i was kinda stuck at that question and i didn't check through the rest of my paper yet.

The second paper of the day was chemistry. I expected myself not to know half of the questions that appeared on the paper. But, it was otherwise. Thank God for the questions that were revolving around the topic of heat changes. I won't be so lucky next time..

After school there was an optional remedial lesson for history. i decided to go for it as the paper was tomorrow and i was free anyway. It cleared some of my doubts on answering source - based questions. After that, when i was walking to the school back gate, i saw many of my band members who were sec 3 playing soccer. Shouldn't they be on their way home and studying? God bless them anyway. for they know not what they are doing.. haha..

The papers left are history and chinese tomorrow, physics and A Maths on monday and bio on tuesday.

Thanks for yet again, reading through this episode of Kenneth's Life: A Day in My Shoes. Hope to see you again soon! we welcome any feedback which can be posted to the tagboard found on the right. Till next time, this is kenneth himself live blogging thru his computer. Goodbye!

I survived the very first day of common tests! I guess that this good start would grant me more confidence to go through the remaining papers. Thank God! English had an interesting question in which was my first time i exceeded the word limit. Social Studies... Could finish but did not stick closely to the LORMS. Hope i can pass both.

After recess was the 6 consecutive periods of lab. In Bio lab, we were drawing long beans and the clitoria fruit. After the drawings were done, the lab became a culinary class with ppl cutting and chopping their long beans with their scapels.. haha.. its a sight to behold.. Chemistry lab was ok lah.. hopefully i can learn all the skills properly before the next lab lesson. Practical is closely related to theory here in which i'm not well versed in.

After school, nicholas, jeremy, ivan and i went to the marine parade hawker centre for lunch, i also sent my old Nokia 3200 for repair. Headed home after that, overslept, missed 2 stops, walked back.

Congrats to Jeremy Yeap for his new blog.

Thanks for all your concern, my flu is getting better by the day.

Tune in to www.daysoftheguynextdoor.blogspot.com for the next episode of Kenneth's Life, A Day in My Shoes.

Its our first common test day tomorrow (ss and english) and i'm sad to say that i had no studied yet... i am so going to mug tonight. Learnt a new word today. Panache. To say something woth conviction. noun.

As of again, ivan decided to go to my house again to blog. nicholas soh tagged along too today. We went to the same food court that we ate at yesterday and ate the exact same thing. Yong Tau Foo. What we like abt the place was that it was air-con and ivan said that it was the cheapest Yong Tau Foo that he had ever seen. Having a flu, i could barely taste the food. Horrible feeling.

Den as we reached my house, ivan used my com first again. nicholas soh was listening to some bandmusic that i had burned for jeremy. After that he had to leave while ivan stayed on.

Dunno why, but i was feeling very sleepy lah (while ivan was doing his blog). When he left, i headed straight for my bed. ZZzzzzz.

I hope that all who are having common tests tomorrow would do well and pass with flying colours. Study hard and u will reap what u sow.

Till next time. Bye!

It seems like yesterday that i was sec 4. Time really flies, very fast indeed. Its already the week of the common tests. Have to start mugging soon. Today's school was as usual, or should i say routinal. After school, ivan, jeremy decided to go to my house to do their blogs. Ivan started to do his blog first and jeremy and i watched mulan. (for all those out that who are wondering what is that, its a movie that was by disney abt a girl named mulan) Ivan chose a new blogskin and i helped him a little to do the details. When the movie was over, we were analyzing the offstage cd that xinling gave me, going through some of the pieces, rewinding and playing, rewinding again.. haha... i'm sure the twe ppl hate us doing this. but... muahahaha.. too bad.. hehe..

Den ivan came up with the topic abt his D&T project. His decided that for his o' level project, he was going to make a board game structure(that can play a few games) with a drawer for game pieces. So being the nice guy that i am (so bhb), i gave him something like his idea that i had bought when i was in primary school. Hope it helps him in his project.

Dunno how, we started playing uno (the card game). Ivan was winning most of the time lah.. haha.. Everytime its becos i put the wrong colour that he won.. haha. Bad luck...

Througout the whole time that they were in my room, phantom of the opera, our esplanade recording was being played in the background. Jeremy was trying to sing some of them.. haha..

Sorry xinling but i was very tired and i had some hw to rush. hope u undestand..

That's all folks!

Sunday is the best day of the week. I get to sleep in and wake up late, as we all know, singapore students are deprived of such pleasures. Decided not to go to church because i was far too tired and i didn't really feel too well. Met ivan and jeremy at 2.30pm and wanted to have lunch together, but we decided to accompany ivan to the salon to get his hair done. So we went to this place in parkway called supercuts. Ivan decided that he wants to change his hairstyle as encouraged by many around him. So jeremy and i waited and waited and waited for him. 1 hr passed and i was late in meeting the SMU concert goers. Finally when he was done, we took cab down to bugis. We walked ard and ate at yoshinoya before heading to NAFA.

As we (excluding ivan and jeremy) were walking there, we were busy plucking out leaves, thorns and reducing the length of the stems of the roses that they were going to give to zat who was performing that evening. When we reached the building, we realised that we were an hour early. So we sat down at a corner and continued cutting the stems and cornelius and meilan started taking pictures. Den someone came to tell us that we could enter the auditorium already.

Generally, the concert was not bad. But i was.. when it started, my existing flu and cough started to get worse and xinling was a little worried.. she said that i looked like i was abt to die. but i managed to survive thru the day.. haha. It's been quite fun going out with twe ppl.. haha.. thanks guys and gals..

Thanks for the stuff u all gave me.. really appreciate it. Just don't forget to remove the reciept next time.. haha.. Thanks!

I seldom say this but today was a good day..

It started off with a fruitful practice with mr glosz with sectionals before that. So i guess we're on the right track towards our goal in syf.. Good job guys!

After practice, justin, don, nigel, daryl, jeremy leong and i went down to SAJC for their funfair. When we reached, we were overwhelmed by the crowds.. Wow. Looks like sajcians are very socialble and have lots of contacts. So we squeezed our way thru the crowds. many times. haha.. It would have been more fun if we had more time, but we didn't. so i ended up giving the funfair coupons away. $26 to be exact.

Den we (justin, don and i) headed off for the RP open house. As we went past the sch gates, we were wondering if we were at the right place. We didn't see anyone walking ard. As we walked deeper into RP, we started seeing ppl.. i guess that was a sign of relief for us. Den we came to the canteen where it was almost empty. again. So we walked again and ended up in front of the library. It was the information counter of the open house. finally we're getting somewhere.. Goodie bags full of information abt the diplomas were given to us.. Den we were lost. we didn't know what and where to go. So all we had to do was look blur and lost and someone approached us to ask if we needed a guide. haha. how convinient.. so he firstly took us to the facillitators they call them to brief us abt the schs we were interested in which were IT and applied sciences. We learnt many things abt RP.

1) There are no lecturers.
2) No lecturers means no lectures.
3) RP is completely wireless and is going paperless
4) RP adopts a problem solving learning methid
5) All students must buy their own notebooks

Cool eh? I think this is the best poly i've been to so far. BUT, they're moving to woodlands so that might be an issue. i guess i'll be spending the rest of the night comparing the polys. Thanks to those who are waiting patiently for me to publish an entry.. haha

The house system now in my school is very screwed up. They put it in a way that those of a similiar uniform group would be in the same house, i.e all the band members in one house, all the scouts in one house. That defeats the purpose of a house system. They better have a good reason for making the house system this way.

After band today, jingkai and i took a cab to stop by at ansley's house as we were going to the Saints alumni concert together. I must say that her estate is very nice.. after that, we waited for ard 15 mins for a cab to VCH. We were late. I guess to a certain extent it was kind of a consolation as we got a Mercedes cab.

The concert overall was not bad, the alumnis was producing quite a good sound. Just a random comment, i'm so gald i'm in st pats. Went home after that.

Tomorrow there's band at 7.30 in the morning. Many things going on tomorrow. Till now, i'm still confused on which one i should go to. SAJC Funfair, NYP Open House, RP Open House. SO much to do so little time. I'll update u guys on what i did in the end tomorrow.

Today began on a bad note as i was late for school. Christopher, frank and i were waiting for a cab close to 15 mins... for those of you out there who are usually late, 15 mins means alot of time and can mean life or death.. haha, i'm exaggerating.. So yup, luckily didn't get a late comer's slip or have to go for the defaulter's parade.

School felt very long as i kept thinking of the open house at TP after school.. couldn't wait for the last bell to ring. The bus took extreamly long to arrive. When we reached there, we were a little disappointed when we found out that it wasn't a self-guided tour like SP. We had to attend several talks by the lecturers who introoduced some of their courses. very boring.. I hope poly life would not be like that.. So we (justin, twins, don, nicholas loh and i) decided to stray away from the group and tour the campus ourselves. Den, i recieved an unexpected sms frm xinling saying that she would be coming too.. how unexpected, i thought she had many stuff to do in the afternoon. When they (xinling, ansley and a friend of their's) arrived, we were guided by these iguides they call it ard the school of design. I think they were a little annoyed with us because some of us talked too much... haha.. i guess design dosen't suit me very well.

The open house ended before we could have a look at each and every sch. so we had to leave. ansley and the other girl had to go so we split there. Only xinling was left with us (the bunch of st pats ppl). Can feel she felt a little awkward at first, but i guess it got better. So we took a bus to tampines and xinling left at the mrt station while we (st pats) went to eat at KFC.. haha.. (kfc is my favourite fastfood restaurant). Den we accompanied SOME PPL to buy belated valentine's gift lah.. haha.. very interesting i must say. Was dead tired when i boarded the bus with justin home..

Thanks to corne for teaching me how to upload the pics.. Thanks!

I must say that today was rather slack. The day began with two periods of P.E. followed by two periods of video watching in Chinese. After recess, was six periods of bio and chem lab.. den ended with one period of pastoral care. So slack ah.. So little books to bring..

During Bio lab, we were supposed to draw various fruits and their different views. After my group had drawn all that we needed to, we started to make the "cucumber man" and the "banana man".. haha.. quite childish for sec 4s.. But we had lots of fun. A scapel went missing again and was found on the monitor's table later in class. I hope we don't get banned from the Bio lab.

Tomorrow there's alot of periods and alot of books to bring. I'm looking forward to the Temasek Poly open house after sch... For those who didn't know, i'm aiming for an IT course in a polytechnic.

Thanks to all those who have taken time to visit my blog, makes me feel that i dun blog for nothing. Thanks! For those who's names are not linked in my blog, please tag. Thanks once again!

Today the Band had a performance at the war memorial park near suntec area. Not too good, could have done better. I think that they should at least introduce us. We were like playing as if we never exsisted. I heard from Ivan that bandworld lets you pay for instruments in instalments... I was just thinking of getting my own clarinet to continue after secondary school, maybe join some external band or something. I'm looking foward to this sunday's SMU's concert. I never really heard them before so i guess it'll be an eye opener for me. There seems to be many things going on this few weeks.

It's the time of the year again where prices of flowers would skyrocket like nobody's business. Right, valentine's. Have you ever wondered why valentine's day is called "valentine"? haha. Seriously? Let me tell you.. I have no idea. All you lovebirds out there must be having a fun time, getting lots of presents and enjoying each other's company..

Today for me was like any other monday. Went to school, went for band, went home.. Those reading this must be thinking "how boring can Kenneth's life get.." Right? Haha. I mean, i don't deny that my life is boring. My life seems predictable. I hope this would change once the o's and syf is over. I hope.

SPSMB is performing tomorrow at the 'chopsticks' war memorial near suntec to remember those who lost their lives in WWII. Must start feeling solemn already. . . . . .

Thanks to xinling and meilan for helping and guiding me thru the basics of blogging. You wouldn't be reading this without them. Thanks!!

I hope that you like the gift.. Happy Valentine's!
