You'd have managed better if you'd had it planned. Why'd you choose such a backward time in such a strange land? If you'd come today you could have reached a whole nation. Haha, just survived the first day of school since the june holidays which started 3 weeks ago for the sec 4s. The holidays passes faster and faster each time i get older. This one's gone faster den i got to do what i wanted to do. But i must say that there was some time where i really enjoyed myself this holiday altough short-lived. It's getting late now and i shld be sleeping.. There's this craze abt jesus christ superstar in the band now as we are going to play this piece for the few upcoming performances. To understand and to play the music better, mr glosz arranged for us to watch the movie during band camp and i managed to get my hands on a 1996 re-recording of the great movie cum musical. Right now i'm still listening to the soundtracks of the movie.. Haha, can't get enough of it.. Happy Birthday to Louis! My batch decided to buy something really unique for his birthday so we both him a few guppies and a sucker (however u spell it) fish. We even bought a nice small glass tank, fish food, a filter and some oxygen marbles. See how thoughful we are? haha.. Can tell that louis kinda likes it.. Ok.. as i told those who were with me the last two days, this would be a very long entry.. haha, skip it if u must or enjoy! Yesterday Woke up at ard 8.30, supposed to go sentosa. Not really in the mood to go sentosa without much purpose, anyway, the weather looked horrible, as if it was abt to rain.. Went back to sleep, too tired.. Woke up again at 9, called don, louis, nicholas, jeremy for a conference call (i'm hosting it). Wasting alot of time as we didn't have a definite place where we wanted to go so some lame and stupid suggestion came out frm the grp.. Waste my hp money only.. Conclusion was that we either went to sentosa or to Wild Wild Wet. Result: Me, louis, don and nicholas to meet at 1.30 at pasir ris mrt. So i quickly got ready, went to have a shower, when i was leaving the house, i was asked by my mum abt my plans for the day. Told her i was going swimming. Kena discouraged cos it looked like it was abt to pour.. Anyway, i left the house and started making my way towards the mrt. It was already drizzling at my neighbourhood, hoping for the best, don messaged me to meet him somewhere on the train b4 going pasir ris. Ok, still not discouraged. Don told me to call him when i was at kembangan. Called him when i was there, he was rushing and he thought he could make it. According to him, i said 3 mins to bedok while the train left in 2 mins.. haha, almost lah hor.. Anyway, i proceeded first as he took the next train. Calle louis when i was at the control station of pasir ris. He said that he would meet us there at downtown east itself as he was takin a cab. We discussed abt the plans for kristelle and meilan's b'dae present while i was waiting a don to take a bus downtown. So while we were on the bus, don called nicholas and he told us that he would meet us in half an hour at the porch of the place. So me and don waited for louis who came after ten minutes and we waited another ten minutes for nicholas. So we went to the entrance of Wild Wild Wet and were told to get a funkey card to pay for the tickets. So we did and went back there. After changing, we found out that the lockers were rented at 2 dollars each (quite expensive for such small ones). One locker wasn't enuff sold we toppped up the card and rented another one. Put all our stuff in and were ready to go for a dip.. Haha, i den realised that i still had my hp and my wallet in my pockets.. Crap, luckily we added 2 extra dollars just in case or we have to repeat the same process all over again. Put my stuff in and we headed for the Shiok River when the current would just push u down the pool. Went abt two rounds ard the place den we went for the slides.. The first slide we went for was the purple one.. Louis and nicholas were having second thoughts. Haha, with little persuasion, they went in before me. Not too bad i must say cos it was dark and u could not see where u were going.. Haha, don was shouting xinling while he was going down.. didn't manage to hear it though. Second slide was the big float one. Six ppl one the float and one giant slide... Cool, but no adrenaline, we splashed water at the life guard before he pushed us down.. Haha. Back to the lazy pool again before we went to the Tsunami. It was a pool with waves. Grabbed a float and went in.. Stayed there quite a while. Overturning some floats and seeing how far until our feets left the ground. Haha. Next was the slide up. It wasn't a giant double sided ramp. The other two were not game so don and me went for it. We had quite some trouble in following the instructions by the life guards. Haha, we were first timers anyway. Not too bad. Fast foward..... Went for the slide up one more time den we started to slack at the Shiok River. Den we played see who can hold the breath the longest.. I won.. Muahaha.. Got bragging rights. The trick is to not think abt breathing.. I think u can guess who i thought of.. Haha..Went for a movie Batman Begins after that. Ended near 12 and i caught one of the last buses home. Back again after playing countless hours of warcraft and runescape. Haha, i guess its gonna be very soon when i will get worried abt the o's. For now, its fun all the time! I've been thinking abt the time when by batch would be leaving the band, will we be heartbroken? or will we know that its not really goodbye? Would the band do better without us? Would the band be too dependent on us? I guess time will tell, no point worrying abt it now.. Time flies, we're coming to the fourth week of the holidays and i haven't started my hw.. That's me lah, always doing very last minute work.. Bad habit... The clarinet section has been going thru some changes initiated by the sec 4s to prepare the future section for the time when we woild no longer be around. Luckily, we dun have that much of a problem compared to the SYF time where we spent many hours thinking abt the instrumentation or rather, who to play which part. Its time for the juniors to grow up and recognise problems when they come and solve it, not wait for someone else to do it. It will never happen that way. Independence is one of the great keys to success. I hope that i won't be hearing stuff abt the immaturity of the band members again. It really worries me sometimes. If you did something or wanna do it, be a man an own up to it. You should be proud of what you are doing! If you're not, den dun do it. Simple as that. I realised something, everytime you look back, u feel that u have grown a lot and had learnt many things. Den you would feel that u've seen it all, but in fact, you are much away frm becoming matured. There are more things on this planet that it meets the eye. Even when it comes to ur personal character or attitude. We all have much to learn. Leaving with this message, i hope all of you out there would treasure what you have right now. Wierd time to blog.. haha.. i'm currently unable to sleep and i cannot play warcraft on my com presently, so here i am. Blogging..... Mr Glosz's bands would be coming back from brisbane today namely temasek and sas. For sajc i'm not too sure. It seems that time passes really quickly and very slowly sometimes. In a blink of and eye, they're coming back when it seems so recent that they had just left. And sometimes i wonder when will they ever be back... Its funny. Today, woke up late in the morning (u can never have these kind of luxuries when school reopens), decided to go to the band room later. Went back to sleep, woke up again and changed my mind. Maybe i should break the norm of going to the band room every single day.. Interesting decision i made.. Went back to sleep. Played some warcraft after that, watched some tv. Went to parkway. We were celebrating nicholas' ultra belated birthday which falls on the 3rd of june at this jap restaurant. Caught up with each other a little while ordering lots of food... The waitress must be rather irritated with us for making her walk to our table so many times.. After spending an hr and a half there, me, ivan, jeremy, nicholas, justin, louis and jonathan went to this lan shop at katong.. Started of with cs, den warcraft and LOTR.. haha, i felt that the money was quite well spent.. Hope to have more of this kinda outings.. Good way to spend a tuesday afternoon. Haha.. People out there reading this, i have a piece of advice for u. Please take full responsibility of any affiliation u have be it friends out a group. It seems like it has been a very long time since i last blogged.. But anyway, here i am again posting something abt things that have been happening.. For the previous two nights, i have been watching 2 movies; Mr and Mrs Smith and Monster In Law.. Both are good shows and i would recommend it to anyone who is able to. Had been much fun altough it was planned really really last minute courtesy of Jeremy.. Haha.. Now that the June holidays are here, many ppl are already going for holidays and having trips.. For me it seems like the holidays' barely started.. Remedials and Lessons.. I guess its all part and parcel of having o's. This week, there have been many things that triggered my memory and started me thinking of things that had happen in my life. Kept me thinking and reflecting alot.. I guess its good to do that once in a while. Helps u to become a better person. Daryl asked me a rather meaningful question today.. " what's your purpose in life?" There are many answers to this question.. To the religious side, its abt living ur life to carry out God's purpose for u. For someone who dosen't go into deep thought and answering immediately, it would mean to be happy.. What really is the purpose to live on this very planet. That's a question that u really have to anwser urself. What do u look foward to when u get married, have children and even on ur death bed? Which path are u going to embark on to make sure that u have no regrets? It really sets me thinking.. Good question daryl.. Haha.
