Hello people, once again, people are asking me to blog again so fine. Here's it! Yesterday our band had a practice at the Singapore Conference Hall with St. Andrew's. Before the practice, many of the leaders including me were predicting lots of tension in the hall later that day as sps and sas were never really on good terms. When we reached there, we heard frm mr glosz that sas was going to rehearse first. Well, depends on ur point of view, it can be a good thing or a bad one. For me the only reason that it was bad is because when u wait in the conference hall for quite some time, ur instrument gets really cold and would affect ur tone. For me, i felt that my tone was very thin compared to previous practices. Even my constant blowing of hot air through the instrument was in vain. Overall sas was good lah, undeniably. I guess both bands are now on par and at the same standard consdering that we are playing pieces that are planets apart. I liked the brass chords of 7th night. very warm feeling. Anyway, there's staill quite some polishing up for both bands to do. Heard the recording today it didn't really sound like how it sounded on stage. Today was rather enjoyable in sch. Why? Imagine seven periods of slacking periods in a single day. Yup, u've got it. Seven periods consecutively, teachers were either on course or didn't come to sch. So we were talking, sleeping, making each other feel pain. Haha. We were learning frm those classmates that knew some japanese defensive martial arts thing the pressure points in which u have to apply minimal effort to make someone feel unbearable pain. Haha. Interesting. We also took some lame pictures lah cos everyone was like using hp. ![]() ![]() Tomorrow both my band and temasek would be having a practice together at the conference hall again. 7-11pm. Plans after that still not confirmed... I guess i'll settle it tomorrow. That's all for today! Hope to see u next time. My speakers are finally working again! Kenneth blogged at 8:37 PM. |
