Be thankful cos i'm blogging this in extreme fatigue.. haha

Today was of course the big day lah. SYF. Finally after so many months of hard work, sectionals, individuals, full bands. Countless talks that we had. All narrows down to one day. 15 mins on the stage. One chane. Once. Yup, sounds cruel but that's the way it is. The band either makes it or break it.

The day started off when i opened the band room at 7am in the morning. As the reporting time was actually 8.30, some of us decided to meet the rest for breakfast at siglap macs. I went with them as i felt that i could afford a cup of tea. Its been like 2 years since i ate breakfast at macs. After that, we headed back.

Started warm-ups, really extended ones first in the band room and den in the hall, in between were short breaks to ensure that we dun tire out our embosures. Went through the two pieces briefly. Lunch.

During that time which was followed by changing, me, josiah and forrester rushed down to siglap to collect the flowers that we had ordered for Mr Glosz to show our appreciation. It was quite hilarious seeing us smuggling it to the band room without letting him see it. The bouquet was really big as we requested it to be. Reasonable price. Now i know where i can get cheap and good flowers..

Did the one-by-one, note-by-note tuning before heading to our school chapel for prayers by Brother Nicholas and the principal's address. I lead the school song also.

Went back to the band room, continued tuning and then proceeded to the buses.

-Fast Forward-

The performance was not our best i must say. We could have done better as could be seen in the previous practice but anyway, good job guys. We really earned it.
