alright. its finally time to change my background, sorry for the mismatched font colours though, any suggestions? Let's start with friday. Met huifang, huiling and cheryl on board an mrt to head towards city hall, waited quite a while at the eunos platform for them but luckily there were no extra charges (there's this time limit that u have to observe for a certain number of stops, cross it and u have pay). Well, wasn't too bad, i'd rather wait for people than for people to wait for me. Met up with yu kin too when we reached city hall. We had to walk really fast as it was past 3.30 as the events starts at that time. well. supposedly. Reached the convention centre and hurried up to the theatre where wow, there were really lots of people (quoting frm someone that ard 400 tp students were involved in the IMF). plus the suntec regular staff as well.. So we resorted to sitting on the steps as we wanted to stick tgether as the IMF SUNTEC VIP section.. haha. the caps are not unintentional. Just before the CEO of suntec convention centre started his speech in a 'grandfather telling a story' fashion, i tried to get guanzuo to sit with us. BAD MOVE. As soon as i found him, the speech started and i had to stay there till the whole speech thing was over. TP students from different departments were also making speeches. I personally felt that the speeches were not exactly impressive. Well, that's just me, always critical of the way people speak. There were refreshments after that in a buffet arrangement. It was almost impossible to get food within the first five minutes because of... well, do i need to explain? typical singaporeans. haha. I didn't exactly keep track of how much time we spent there but it must have been alot. Eating, chatting, getting ppl for a group photo, gossiping, bitching (of course), taking more pictures, drinking, and even more pictures, collecting the tokens of appreciations (anyone heard of pens by Guy Laroche? not forgetting testimonials which are exactly the same except for the name). Yep, a long time. Walked a little round suntec is search for a place to sit and chat before the group decided to head for town. There was quite a debate on which movie to watch. say.. half an hour? and right after that as settled, part two. which cinema? poor huiling had to call and message her bf so many times because we were quite fickle with our decision. Well, it was due to things like whether we can reach orchard cineplex in time or Lido or maybe perhaps a slightly later show at GV. Hmm. It was then decided. Haunted Apartments at PS @ 9.35pm. I'm not quite a big fan of horror but i'm more of a crowd follower when it comes to movies. i guess if the girls had agreed then there is no reason for me to refuse. Just before we entered the cinema, fangwen handed us thank you cards. That was really unexpected and thoughtful. . Really appreciated it. THANKS if u're reading! The girls also picked a present in which everyone chipped in to buy. (i still have no idea what it is). Didn't like the storyline. I could have sworn that if gangsters sat in front of us, there would be multiple homicide due to the amount and volume of laughter and screams emitted by our group. Headed for home on board bus 65 with benedict and cheryl where we coincidentally met tiffany. Chatted and chatted and we were getting off the bus before we thought we were about to. That's the nice part about having new friends on board buses with long journeys with you.. :) Saturday. went for some business talk cum presentation cum training with nicholas (or should i say for nicholas). You better repay me for this favour man... haha. Well, nothing much to say about it but THEY'RE A BUNCH OF WIERD PEOPLE AND THEY SHOULD STOP WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME. yep. Sunday. wasn't feeling too well so i skipped church. must be those booming voices frm last night. at least there's something to look forward to tomorrow. maybe a section outing with the tp clarinetists and then band practice at 6.30. Wanted to start work this week but it seems like my evenings are rather occupied. anyway, a random thought for my readers to think abt too. haha. mY ReAdErS. Have u been waging cold war with someone without actually telling the person why? well, it applies to me as well. kinda unfair for the other person isn't it? So here's a big apology to all those who i have waged cold wars with without telling them why. You do have the right to know. Till then, Tata! Kenneth blogged at 9:53 PM. |
