With accounting and only travel and tour operations left, it feels as if the world has been lifted off my shoulders. i am seriously a happier man now. From hardly knowing anything about accounting 2 weeks ago to being fully prepared for the test today and then knowing that i'l score pretty well. I must say its quite an accomplishment. Even i'm amazed at how i kept to my time allocation for studying and being disciplined to study when i'm supposed to. Short but amazing journey. haha. Finally got one of the pullovers i wanted from G2000 blu using a debit transaction to my accounts receivable. go figure. haha. Till then. Kenneth blogged at 11:16 PM. Kenneth blogged at 12:22 AM. It's the last week of school! Well, seriously, unlike most students who feel that school is something to dread, i would think otherwise. Its within school that you know that you are constanly improving and learning new skills. It is within school that you are met with challenges and pushes you to your limits. It is within school that you work with your colleagues, whether or not desired. And of course, it is within school that you make and interact with like-minded people. Is school seriously that hard to look forward to? With the last week of school we sometimes feel sad. There are some modules in which we really enjoy and the end of the semester marks the end of these subjects. One very apt example for myself is Service Skills Methodology. As Mr Goh said both on tuesday and wednesday, we have come a long way since day 1 in Temasek Culinary Academy. As raw, unrefined stones, we have been carefully trained to become gems that shine. No one said that the process was going to be easy. There had been painful moments not only for the students but also the service instructors. But we have finally reached the end of the module with a big bang of the official opening ceremony. It was great working with all the people that Mr Goh pulled in from the other service days to help out on tuesday and wednesday. It has been a pleasure. Well, with that, its time to move on. Holidays bring about a whole different set of challenges for me. Holidays mean that there is much more time to address issues that have been outstanding and to sit down to evaluate what can been improved. This process is essential as it ensures that things would not remain stagnant. I end of with that and good luck to all those who are studying for their end of semester exams. French speaking test over. Boy was it traumatic. Haha, i'm surprised that i actually remembered all my lines. My speaking partner probably wasn't that lucky. Imagine holding a four minute coversation in an unknown foreign language. Well, i don't i'll do that badly for french although it has been much of a nightmare in the middle of the semester. I'm really estatic that its all over for french. I hope to be fluent in the language if possible. Certainly would add value if i'm tri-lingual. TTO Presentation. Mine. Is MASON ANDRE LIM CHONG JIN entertaining or what. he really tickled the class by the way he makes things up to defend our tour package. Haha, well, enjoy while we still can before we see our results.. Lunch @ Design school canteen with nicholas, wan xin and jasmin. Another two self-enteratining ladies. Haha. Its what i really call Zi-High. There never seem to be a moment where they are 'wu jing da cai'. Yes li hong, i know you cannot stand me speaking mandarin. Its pretty fun watching them crack jokes and laugh at almost anything. (with a sinister laugh from jasmin) Practiced for the woodwind ensemble shortly after. Well, i think we achieved quite a bit in a day's practice. Of course more work has to be done for all the players including myself. But at least, i see a bright light at the end of this tunnel. Will probably work out quite well. A new direction for TP band which would probably bring us more performances. Had the usual supper at macs after locking up the band room. Wei Zhen decided to use more than half his Macs points to get nuggets to share with us. Thanks for that! The girls (wan xin and jasmin) were trying to get photos of unsuspecting li hong. haha. Met Jasmine tan (not jasmin tan) at the bus stop outside school. Yeah, talked about some band stuff and our courses. She said i look more like a business student than a IT student. (yes, i am a business student). Well, great talking to her. That's all for the day. Kenneth blogged at 11:49 PM. |
